Best case scenario, you’ll be able to change the audio output to your 3.5mm output. This can create problems for people using an adapter. Unfortunately, VGA doesn’t support audio. It’s becoming increasingly common for video sources to output audio through HDMI.
By adding this adapter into your chain, you’ll be able to properly convert digital video. This means that most converters on the market don’t actively convert the digital DVI signal to VGA.
